Natural Living Vibes

What does it mean to be “wholistic” or holistic? Basically it is looking at your health, your body, your mind and your spirit as a whole, instead of separate. To me, it means taking a different approach to health instead of the allopathic way. Ever since I have aligned my family with a holistic paradigm, it has changed for the better. Our family takes a Modern Alternative approach, more balanced with using allopathic methods when we need it, but always taking the holistic approach first.

Another aspect of the of being holistic is giving your body what it needs to heal itself, and one of those things is de-stressing your body. If you don’t take time to de-stress, you can NOT heal your body. Less emotional, physical and chemical stressors will always do our bodies better, right? For example, making easy homemade self care products , instead of using a toxic filled cream that has no regulation. Other maybe trying a less invasive way to care for your illness, detoxing your life of chemicals, reading food labels, or simply adding some type of movement or exercise in your daily routine, ect. Maybe, even learning some more preparedness skills like canning, gardening, ect. Those are just some “wholistic” way our family has embraced.

Living holistically is about trying to maintain a healthy existence in our toxic mainstream world can be easy! Yes, sometimes it can be so overwhelming because we have come so far from natural living, and I am here to guide you with sustainable steps!

I highly encourage you to adopt things is this section. Start with the ones that seem easy to you. Remember this lifestyle is process; I am always continually learning and adopting holistic things into our family. If you keep at it, soon it will become second nature, and you will start to spot ways for your own to live more holistically.

Step one: Ditch Toxins and Switch to Nature

There are chemicals in almost everything we use/consume daily – food, soaps, self care products, household cleaners – you name it. More than 84,000 chemicals are put into American food and products each year essentially without safety testing, generating more than $763 billion in profits for the chemical industry. Strong scientific evidence exists that exposure to these chemicals is contributing to cancer, reproductive abnormalities, early puberty, and a host of other endocrine, neurological, and metabolic problems (autoimmune disease). It’s impossible to avoid all chemical exposures but you can minimize them. Living and cleaner non-toxic life is a lot easier then you think. There are simple actions we can take at home to reduce our toxic exposures. There are plenty of products we can avoid or replace without threatening our health.

Toxin-free is the way to be! By decreasing your toxic load, are are also supporting your healthy detoxification pathways in your body!

Step two: Adding in Nutrition

Whole foods are food in their natural whole state. They are food that have not been refined or processed, or adulterated. This means that they have not been broken down physically and/or chemically into lesser parts then sold, made or eaten as just a part or fragment of the whole of the food. Poor nutrition can be one of the major contributors to a wide range of health issues.  Most of us are aware that healthy food has many benefits for our health and well-being, however the volume and range of conflicting information is often overwhelming and confusing. I do not believe in a cookie cutter approach I do however make your necessary dietary changes practical for MOM LIFE and raising a big family.

Our bodies have a tremendous ability to heal and my holistic whole-nutrition approach gives the body the food and energy it needs to attain and maintain optimal health!

Step Three: Getting FiT

Physical exercise refers to any bodily activity that enhances or maintains physical fitness, health, and wellbeing. Regularly moving your body throughout the day is a top health practice for holistic living,  Even though exercise benefits are primarily physical, your mental and emotional well-being are boosted in the short and long term as well. Regular movement energizes you, reduces the effects of stress, and makes you feel good, and the by product is how you look.

Whatever you incorporate physical activity as part of your daily routine, just make it be something that you love and you ca be consistent with. As a fitness instructor I share all of the ways I love to move my body to keep me healthy and fit as a mom to 5 kids.

Every physical activity is intended for the purpose of supporting body movement of the energy through the body. One can practice all sorts of body movement to get and stay in shape. To enjoy the glow of health, you must move or do some sort of exercise!
