Whole Nutrition Vibes

Perhaps no change will alter your life as profoundly As the food you choose to consume. “Let food be thy medicine.”

OUR BODIES HAVE A TREMENDOUS ABILITY TO HEAL, AND HOLISTIC NUTRITION GIVES THE BODY THE FOOD AND ENERGY IT NEEDS TO ATTAIN AND MAINTAIN OPTIMAL HEALTH!

It is time to ditch the conventional food pyramids and diets! It has lead us down an unhealthy path full of health issues. Yes, the big problem is, mainstream medicine can sometimes miss the fact that poor nutrition can be one of the major contributors to a wide range of health issues. Most of us are aware that healthy food has many benefits for our health and well-being, however the volume and range of conflicting information in the media is often overwhelming and confusing.

We literally are what we eat, digest, and assimilate. My philosophy is this when it comes to Holistic WHOLE nutrition. I focus on a natural approach to a healthy diet and consider the individual as a whole, including all aspects of this lifestyle. This natural approach incorporates emotional, spiritual and physical health to create a state of well-being for optimum health. A holistic approach to proper nutrition encourages education on basic nutrition to develop a holistic diet that incorporates natural and organic foods, natural holistic supplements and food treatments for chronic health conditions.

Here are 3 simple steps to HIGH VIBE eating:

  1. Eliminate Processed foods”

Cutting out processed foods entirely can be challenging, so it is important to take baby steps. After all it is a journey and so trust in it.

There are so many health benefits of ditching toxic processed food. Know that the Government food system fails to protect consumers. Processed foods are typically ready-to-eat or to pop into a microwave — think frozen meals, canned foods, sugar cereals, reconstituted meats and packaged baked goods, crackers, chips, ect. They generally contain high levels of fat, added sugars, salt and various additives.

Our spoon and fork is one of the powerful tools we have to transform your health.

2. Learn how to read food Labels:

All packaged foods come with a nutrition label meant to provide you with the information necessary to know exactly what you're eating. Understanding what's in the your food helps your make a conscious choice on what your eating. Checking food labels also makes it easy for you to compare the nutrient content of different options. .Learning how to understand and use the Nutrition Facts label can help you make healthier eating choices and identify nutrient-dense foods for a healthy diet. Healthy nutrition is crucial throughout your lifetime and paying attention to food labels is a significant step toward improving your overall lifestyle.

Food is information, not just a source of energy or calories. It contains instructions that affect every biological function of your body.

3. Adopt the 80/20 Rule:

I believe in a balanced approach. I believe in birthday cake and bacon. Not to take this as binge eating where you are eating well, and then throw all the healthy nutrition principles out the window, but rather being intuitive about your eating and not letting it control you. You control food, it does not control us. There is no one-size-fits-all or boxed systems, or set protocols, or standardized solutions that work for everyone. It so important to listen to your body and I feel the 80/20 rule in nutrition allows for this. 80% of the time I am cooking from scratch with fresh ingredients – which I love doing because of how it makes me feel. My energy levels are more stable, I recover quicker after training and I love the mindful process of cooking. 20% of the time I am slamming Boba, eating shameless chick-fil-a fries, and the finest cheese-cake I can find!

Cultivating a healthy relationship with food, creating consistency by having moderation not deprivation.
